High gloss epoxy floor in an aircraft hangar coated by Cyclops Painting & Coatings

Turn bare concrete into a floor that lasts

Bare concrete stains, dusts and soaks up moisture, and in our humidity it sweats and grows mildew. Over time it cracks and spalls. Concrete paint peels under tires within a year or two. An epoxy coating turns the slab into a hard, continuous surface that holds up to traffic and spills and wipes clean.

What our epoxy flooring includes

01

Garage floors

Solid color, decorative flake or metallic systems for home garages, so oil and tire marks wipe off instead of soaking in.

02

Workshops, utility rooms and storage

Durable, easy-to-clean floors for hobby spaces, laundry rooms and storage areas that take a beating.

03

Warehouses and distribution centers

Heavier systems built for forklift traffic, tire abrasion and constant movement, which also cut down on concrete dust.

04

Manufacturing, shops and hangars

Chemical and impact resistant floors for plants, service facilities and aircraft hangars, often finished with a urethane topcoat.

05

Restaurant kitchens and back of house

Floors that resist spills and grease and stand up to daily cleaning in commercial kitchens.

06

Retail floors and showrooms

A clean, glossy finish that looks good under display lighting and handles foot traffic.

How an epoxy floor installation works

  1. STEP 01

    Inspect the slab

We check for cracks, old coatings, oil contamination and moisture, which all affect whether epoxy will bond.

  2. STEP 02

    Grind and repair

Mechanical grinding opens the concrete so the coating can grip, and removes old coatings. Cracks and spalls get filled. This is the step that decides how long the floor lasts.

  3. STEP 03

    Apply the system

A bonding primer, the base coat, a flake broadcast if you chose one, and a protective topcoat with UV and chemical resistance. An anti-slip additive can go in the topcoat.

  4. STEP 04

    Cure

Foot and vehicle traffic only after the system has cured. We give you exact times for your floor.

How much does an epoxy garage floor cost in Baldwin County?

The cost of an epoxy floor depends on the square footage, the condition of the slab, how much grinding and crack repair it needs, whether an old coating has to come off and which system you choose: solid color, flake or metallic. We measure and quote after inspecting the floor.

FAQ

Epoxy flooring FAQ

A residential garage floor that was prepped properly typically lasts many years. Commercial floors depend on traffic, forklifts and chemicals. Prep is what decides it: a ground, clean and repaired slab holds the coating far longer than one that was only washed. We give you a realistic expectation for your floor.
Most residential garage floors are finished in a few days, including grinding, repairs, application and cure time. Commercial floors are scheduled around operations, and the system cures before the area goes back to normal use. We give you exact times for your floor.
It depends on the system and the temperature. Foot traffic comes first, and vehicles only after the coating has fully cured. Parking too soon can leave tire marks or lift the coating, so we give you the exact cure time for your floor before we leave.
Usually not. The old coating has to come off during prep so the epoxy bonds to the concrete itself. We remove it by mechanical grinding, which also opens up the surface pores so the new system can grip.
It can be when it's wet, especially with a high gloss finish. We can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat for garages, kitchens and commercial floors where water or oil is common.
Yes, for most garages. Concrete paint is thin and often peels under hot tires within a year or two. Epoxy is a thicker system that bonds to ground concrete and resists oil, chemicals and wear. It also stands up better to the humidity that makes bare slabs sweat.
